SimRacing Expo Frankfurt 2026: News, Exhibitors & 3DRap
Share
The countdown is almost over! SimRacing Expo 2026 opens its doors in Frankfurt from October 16 to 18, bringing together some of the biggest names in virtual motorsport, cutting-edge racing technology and thousands of passionate sim racers.
For 3DRap, the event brings back some special memories.
In 2024, we had the opportunity to exhibit at the ADAC SimRacing Expo in Dortmund, where more than 1,000 visitors stopped by our booth to discover, test and experience our technologies.
Two years later, as the Expo moves to Frankfurt, we're looking back at that incredible experience and exploring the innovations shaping the future of Sim Racing.
SimRacing Expo 2026: Frankfurt Becomes the Heart of Virtual Motorsport

Messe Frankfurt, Hall 12, from October 16 to 18.
With over 14,000 square metres of exhibition space and more than 70 exhibitors expected, this year's event promises to bring together hardware manufacturers, software developers, professional sim racers, content creators and enthusiasts from around the world.
Major names including Fanatec, MOZA Racing, Simagic, Simucube, Asetek Racing and SIMNET are among the exhibitors announced for Frankfurt.
And there is even more to look forward to: the event is promoting 12 world premieres, with several major manufacturers scheduled to take the stage on Friday, October 16.
For visitors, this means an opportunity to discover new technologies, test equipment and experience the latest developments in virtual racing.
One of the highlights is Assetto Corsa EVO Free Roam, which visitors will be able to experience publicly at the event. KUNOS Simulazioni co-founder Marco Massarutto is scheduled to present the feature on October 16.
The event is not just about new products. It's about discovering how technology continues to bring virtual racing closer to real motorsport.

Back to 2024: When 3DRap Brought Its Innovations to the Expo

It was an opportunity to meet the people who use our products, listen to their feedback and demonstrate the technologies developed by our team in Italy.
More than 1,000 people visited our booth in Dortmund, discovering solutions designed to make Sim Racing more realistic, immersive and accessible.
We organised our exhibition around three key concepts: Upgrades, Realism and Feeling.
Each represented a different way of improving the simulation experience.
Upgrades: More Feeling Without Replacing Your Hardware
One of the biggest interests among visitors was our range of modifications for existing Sim Racing equipment.
From Fanatec and MOZA pedal upgrades to Logitech and Thrustmaster shifter modifications, our goal was to demonstrate something simple:
You don't always need to buy a completely new setup to improve your driving experience.
A targeted mechanical modification can change pedal resistance, throttle response, clutch feeling or gear engagement.
For many sim racers, these details make the difference between a generic gaming peripheral and a setup that feels more natural and personal.
That philosophy remains central to our work today.

Realism: Bringing Motorsport History Back to Life
Visitors had the chance to discover steering wheel reproductions inspired by legendary racing cars and some of motorsport's most iconic eras.
Among the designs presented were wheels inspired by the Lotus 49 driven by Jim Clark, Ayrton Senna's McLaren MP4/4 and Gilles Villeneuve's Ferrari 312 T4.
For us, realism isn't only about technical performance.
It's also about the emotional connection between a driver and a racing machine.
The shape of a steering wheel, the driving position and the sensation of controlling a historic racing car can transform the entire experience.
And that's what our Vintage Collection is designed to celebrate.
Feeling: Going Beyond Force Feedback
3DRap Feeling PRO, our modular system developed to add physical feedback to racing simulators.
Force feedback through the steering wheel is only one part of the driving experience.
A real racing car communicates through vibrations, surface changes, mechanical movements and airflow.
Feeling PRO is designed to reproduce selected sensations using configurable rumble motors and wind generators, depending on the chosen setup.
Through SimHub, users can configure effects related to road vibration, gear shifts, wheel slip, ABS intervention and airflow.
The result is another layer of information and immersion that complements the steering wheel and pedals.
Accessible Sim Racing: Technology Should Open Doors
At our booth, visitors could discover a wheelchair-accessible simulator equipped with the 3DRap Hand Controller.
Developed for sim drivers who cannot use conventional foot pedals, the Hand Controller allows throttle and brake inputs to be controlled with the thumb.
This means that people with lower-limb disabilities can participate in driving simulation using an alternative control system.
For 3DRap, accessibility isn't a secondary feature.
It's part of our vision of what Sim Racing should become: an environment where technology helps more people experience the excitement of motorsport.
That commitment continues today through the development of accessible driving solutions and our involvement in initiatives dedicated to inclusive virtual racing.

Meeting the Sim Racing Community: The Most Valuable Part of the Expo
Beyond the technology, one of the most memorable aspects of our 2024 experience was meeting the community face to face.
Our booth welcomed sim racers, content creators, engineers, manufacturers and motorsport enthusiasts from different countries.
Among our visitors were Marco Massarutto and members of the KUNOS Simulazioni team, alongside numerous creators and professionals from the industry.
These conversations gave us the opportunity to understand what sim racers really wanted from their equipment.
Some were looking for more precise braking.
Others wanted a stronger mechanical feeling, more immersive feedback or a way to enjoy Sim Racing despite physical limitations.
Each conversation reinforced something we have believed since the beginning:
The best innovations often start by listening to the people who will actually use them.

What We're Watching at SimRacing Expo Frankfurt 2026
As the industry gathers in Frankfurt, several trends are particularly interesting from our perspective.
1. More Advanced Pedal Systems
Pedal technology continues to evolve, with manufacturers exploring new ways to reproduce braking forces, mechanical resistance and driver feedback.
For 3DRap, this is especially relevant.
Our development work focuses on helping sim racers refine the behaviour of their existing pedals, including equipment from Fanatec, Logitech, MOZA and Thrustmaster.
2. Haptic Feedback and Physical Immersion
Sim Racing is moving beyond visual realism and steering-wheel force feedback.
Tactile effects, motion systems and additional physical feedback can communicate information that drivers would otherwise receive through their bodies in a real vehicle.
These developments are closely connected to the philosophy behind Feeling PRO.
3. The Evolution of Racing Simulators
With titles such as Assetto Corsa EVO continuing to evolve, software innovation remains as important as hardware development.
More detailed vehicle physics, environments and driving experiences create new opportunities for manufacturers to improve the way drivers interact with their simulators.
4. Personalisation and Upgrades
Every sim racer has different preferences.
Some drivers prefer a firm brake pedal. Others want a more progressive response or a specific mechanical feeling.
Rather than assuming that one configuration works for everyone, we believe personalisation will continue to play an important role in Sim Racing.
5. Accessibility and Inclusive Motorsport
We also hope to see accessibility become an increasingly important part of the conversation.
Sim Racing has the potential to bring together drivers with very different physical abilities on the same virtual track.
Creating better input devices and more adaptable setups is essential to making that opportunity available to more people.
From Dortmund 2024 to Frankfurt 2026: Our Journey Continues
The SimRacing Expo has always represented something special for the Sim Racing industry.
It's where enthusiasts meet the people behind their favourite products, where new technologies are demonstrated and where ideas become real experiences.
Our participation in Dortmund in 2024 remains an important chapter in the 3DRap story.
It gave us the opportunity to demonstrate our work, meet thousands of passionate people and share our vision of more realistic and accessible virtual racing.
Today, as the industry turns its attention to Frankfurt, that same vision continues to guide our work.
We keep designing, developing and manufacturing solutions that help sim racers get more from their equipment.
Because innovation isn't always about replacing what you already have.
Sometimes, it's about making what you already love even better.
